Investing, Without the Noise: A Calm Approach to Money & Wealth with Diana Richey

Who this is for: Women who want to feel more confident and intentional with their money—at any stage.

Money touches every part of our lives, but most conversations only focus on one piece.

In this informal Q&A lunch, we can explore the full picture—from how we think and feel about money, to how we actually structure and invest it.

We’ll cover:

  • Money mindset, energetics, and earning

  • Taxes, account structure, and how to set things up simply

  • Investing basics and how to get started

  • Passive vs. active investing

  • ESG and aligning your portfolio with your values

  • How to build wealth in a way that feels steady and sustainable

Bring your questions—this is a relaxed, open conversation.

Diana Richey is an investor, tax attorney, and writer whose work bridges disciplined financial practice with a broader exploration of how building financial resources can support an intentional life.

With more than two decades of experience in law and finance, she began her career as an international tax attorney advising individuals, private funds, and multinational corporations on cross-border planning, charitable structures, and long-term capital strategy.

Today, she manages her own money with an emphasis on risk awareness and process-driven decision-making. Through her Substack, she teaches the fundamentals of investing with a focus on building income and long-term capital. She shares her own portfolio as a transparent reference, walking through trades as she makes them so readers can learn and grow alongside her.

Diana holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional. She sits on the 501(c)(3) boards of Nature and Culture International and Amanzi: Water to Schools.

Shut Up & Write [Weekly Session]

Join us on Tuesdays for 6 weekly sessions beginning May 5th at 830AM.

Shut Up & Write!® sessions are simple by design:

We arrive and say hello. A quick intro so you feel oriented and seen.

We write together. Focused writing time right here at Poppy.

We close with a check-in. Optional reflections on what you worked on and how it went.

That's it. We do not workshop. We do not critique. We do not evaluate. We create a consistent container where writing can happen, week after week, without the friction that usually gets in the way.

If you want to write more, this is for you. Novels, dissertations, grant proposals, journaling, articles, scripts, reports, resumes, research, and everything in between.

No Country for Mothers (Movie Viewing at Poppy)

No Country for Mothers explores the culture wars surrounding American motherhood and why both the “girl boss” and “trad wife” labels ultimately distract us from the real issue: the lack of support for American families.

Following activist Reshma Saujani, the film charts a growing national movement to reunite moms across divisions and win the kind of historic support families actually need.
